Minutes of a Regular Meeting
The Gloversville Housing Authority’s Board of Commissioners held its Annual Meeting for the 2019 year on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, said meeting having opened at 6:32 p.m.
Board Members Present:
- John Castiglione, Chairperson
- John Poling, Vice Chairperson
- Marcia Weiss, Secretary
- Gail Ryan, Commissioner
- Diane Sauve, Resident Commissioner
- Amanda Ossenfort, Commissioner
Others Present:
- Heather Reynolds, Executive Director
- Anthony Casale, Authority Legal Counsel
- Bryan Goldberger, Authority Legal Counsel
Chairperson Castiglione requested a report from the Nominating Committee for a new slate of Officers. Diane Sauve spoke on behalf of the Nominating Committee and presented the following slate of Officers: John Poling, President; John Castiglione, Vice President; Marcia Weiss, Secretary. A roll call vote having been taken on the aforementioned slate of Officers with the aforementioned slate of Officers having been unanimously approved.
The outgoing President Castiglione having passed the gavel to incoming President John Poling, who then presided over the meeting.
Chairperson Poling provided a brief annual report referring to the report of the Finance Committee that was discussed at the regular monthly meeting of the Gloversville Housing Authority earlier in the evening of September 17, 2019.
Chairperson Poling called the next order of business for review and approve proposed changes to the order of business with there having been no proposed amendments to the order of business having been made.
Chairperson Poling discussed how bi-laws of the Gloversville Housing Authority had been modified and adopted earlier this year, and the Gloversville Housing Authority having made a motion to re-adopt and/or renew said bi-laws, said motion having been made by Vice Chairperson Castiglione and having been seconded by Commissioner Ryan and unanimously adopted.
Chairperson Poling having made inquiry of any other business by any Members of the Board. John Castiglione spoke and gave thanks to the Members of the Board for their continued support of him during his tenure as Chairperson. Mr. Castiglione thanked each of the Members of the Board and indicated that it was a pleasure working with each of the, Secretary Weiss thanked Mr. Castiglione for stepping up at a time when the Housing Authority needed him. Diane Sauve spoke and echoed the comments of Marcia Weiss. Chairperson Poling spoke and commended Mr. Castiglione for his service as Chairperson of the Housing Authority and indicated to the Board that he was hopeful that he would be able to enjoy the same level of success during his tenure as Chairperson of the Board. Commissioner Ryan spoke and gave thanks to John Castiglione for his service during his tenure as Chairperson of the Board.
Chairperson called for a motion to adjourn the annual meeting, said motion having been made by Commissioner Ossenfort and having been seconded by Secretary Weiss, the annual meeting having been adjourned at 6:39 p.m.
