Minutes of a Regular Meeting
A Special Meeting of Gloversville Housing Authority’s Board of Commissioners was held at Dubois Garden Apartments, 181 West Street, Gloversville, on October 12, 2023 at 5:00p.m.
Board Members Present:
- Ellen Anadio, Commissioner
- Lashawn Hawkins, Commissioner
- Gail Peters, Commissioner
- Ronald Holly, Commissioner
- Amari Shaw, Commissioner
- Sherry Courtney, Resident Commissioner
Others Present:
- Anthony Casale, Authority Legal Counsel
- Jason Mazur – Executive Director
- Bryan Goldberger, Esq. – Authority Labor Counsel
Commissioner Anadio called the meeting to order at 5:16 p.m. All present stood for the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a moment of silence.
Commissioner Anadio conducted a roll call memorializing the presence of the abovenamed individuals.
A motion was made by Commissioner Holly to go into Executive Session pursuant to Public Officers Law, Section 105(1)(f) regarding the medical, financial, credit or employment history of a particular person or corporation, or matters leading to the appointment, employment, promotion, demotion, discipline, suspension, dismissal or removal of a particular person or corporation said motion having been seconded by Commissioner Peters. The motion was carried by a vote of 6-0 in the affirmative. The executive session began at 5:17pm. …A motion was made to end the executive session at 6:26pm by Commissioner Holly and seconded by Commissioner Peters. The motion carried by a vote of 6-0 in the affirmative. The executive session ended at 6:26pm.
Public session resumed.
A motion was made to hold Annual Meeting of Gloversville Housing Authority on October 17, 2023 at 2pm at Dubois Garden Apartmentsof the Gloversville Housing Authority on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 5pm at Dubois Garden Apartments, said motion having been made by Commission Holly and seconded by Commissioner Peters. There was no further discussion. Said motion was carried by a vote of 6-0 in the affirmative Resolution 856 was introduced by Attorney Goldberger, Authorizing Board Separation Agreement with Jason Mazur. A motion adopting said motion having been made by Commissioner Holly and seconded by Commissioner Peters. There was no further discussion. Said resolution was carried by a vote of 6-0 in the affirmative.
Resolution 857 was introduced by Attorney Goldberger, Appointing Kayla Potter as Executive Director of the Gloversville Housing Authority And Authorizing the Board Chair to Execute Agreement on Behalf of Gloversville Housing Authority to Engage Services of Kayla Potter as Executive Director, effective November 15, 2023. A motion adopting said resolution was made by Commissioner Holly and seconded by Commissioner Shaw. There was no additional discussion and the resolution was carried by a vote of 6-0 in the affirmative.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Commissioner Hawkins and seconded by Commissioner Peters. The motion carried by a vote of 6-0 in the affirmative. The meeting was adjourned at 6:31 p.m.
